LOCATION - Lat 36°01'25", long 78°41'21" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Wake County, NC, Hydrologic Unit 03020201, on right bank at spillway into Falls Lake.
DRAINAGE AREA - 52.5 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY -

Precipitation record was unlocked from 4/10/2017 (last calibration that passed) to 7/18/2017 to due to calibration failure by 14.78% on 10/23/2017. The instrument was replaced on 10/25/2017 and data was deleted for the period 4/10/2017-10/25/2017 as defined by precipitation policy.

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - May 2006 to current year.
GAGE - Datum of the gage is 0.9 ft below the NAVD88 NAD83(2011) Geoid 18 with an uncertainty of 0.3 ft as determined by a Level 3 Static GNSS survey conducted June 22, 2020. The gage is reported in NGVD 29 and the gage height at the time of the survey was verified using a VERTCON conversion.
COOPERATION - Gage is operated in cooperation with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
REMARKS - Gage-height records are generally good. Additional details on the accuracy of the records can be obtained by contacting the USGS South Atlantic Water Science Center at gs-w-nc_nwisweb_data_inquiries@usgs.gov.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum elevation: 261.27 ft, January 1, 2016; minimum elevation: 248.30 ft, October 23, 2007.
