LOCATION - Lat 40°02'22", long 101°52'00" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SE 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.20, T.1 N., R.40 W., Dundy County, NE, Hydrologic Unit 10250002, on upstream side of bridge, 0.4 mi upstream from mouth, and 4.0 mi northeast of Haigler.
DRAINAGE AREA - 172 mi² of which 163.4 mi² probably is noncontributing.
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 2119: 1948-50(M), 1957(M). WDR NE-94-1: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1940 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder with satellite telemetry. Datum of gage is 3,189.00 ft above sea level. Prior to Sept. 18, 1980, at site 0.5 mi upstream at datum 15.57 ft higher. Sept. 18, 1980 to June 3, 1996, on left bank 15 ft upstream from county highway bridge at datum 0.10 ft lower. June 4, 1996 to Nov. 6, 1996, 135 ft downstream from county highway bridge, at datum 0.10 ft lower.
REMARKS - Accuracy of records for water years prior to 2014 are noted in the individual Annual Data Reports for those water years. For water years 2014 onward, records fair except for estimated daily discharges, which are poor, unless otherwise noted. Natural flow affected by diversion about 1 mi upstream for irrigation of 880 acres.
