LOCATION - Lat 35°11'11.5", long 89°51'24.5" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Shelby County, TN, Hydrologic Unit 08010210, behind McCord Pumping Station, 75 ft southeast of aerators. Owner: Memphis Light, Gas and Water Division, City of Memphis.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 90 ft. Upper casing diameter 4.0 in; top of first opening 80 ft, bottom of last opening 90 ft. Drilled water-table observation well, diameter 8 in.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 310 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: TOP OF CASING, 2.10 FEET ABOVE LAND SURFACE, 2.10 ft above land-surface datum, Nov. 5, 1986, to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - January 1987 to current year. Periodic tape measurements from January 1987 to February 2014. Realtime continuous water level measurements and water quality data began February 20, 2014 to current year.
GAGE - Periodic measurements by USGS personnel.
REMARKS - Records good. Water levels in well affected by pumping in the Memphis, Tennessee area.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level measured, 67.79 ft below land-surface datum, Sept. 29 1998; lowest level measured, 72.56 ft below land-surface datum, Mar. 3, 2009.

REMARKS - During continuous water quality data collection for NAWQA-ETN the pump is turned on twice a day for 30 minutes and water quality data are recorded within that 30 minutes time frame. Water level values are recorded hourly including the two values when the well is pumping. Those two water level values recorded during pumping are not used for record computations. Static water level measurements are made when the well is not pumping.
