LOCATION - Lat 35°39'22", long 83°34'56" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Sevier County, TN, Hydrologic Unit 06010201, 3.3 mi southwest of Great Smoky Mountains National Park Headquarters, near Gatlinburg, TN.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 220 ft. Upper casing diameter 6.25 in; top of first opening 27 ft, bottom of last opening 220 ft. Drilled unused water-table well, diameter 6 in., depth 220 ft, cased to 27 ft., uncased below.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 2,148 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: INSIDE FLOOR OF RECORDER SHELTER, 1.46 ft above land-surface datum, May 1979 to present. Land-surface elevation is from topographic map.
PERIOD OF RECORD - May 1979 to current year.
GAGE - Data collection platform at 60-minute interval.
REMARKS - Records good. Water levels affected by stage of Little River.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level, 3.48 ft below land-surface datum, Mar. 27, 1994; lowest, 10.06 ft below land-surface datum, July 22, 1998.
