REVISIONS HISTORY -
Revisions: Land-surface datum was updated to 849.06 ft NAVD88 on May 22, 2023, as determined by a GNSS survey by Missouri DNR. Land-surface datum was previously published as 845 ft NAVD88 from topographic map. Discrete water-level measurements prior to May 22, 2023, are referenced to the original datum.

On August 23, 2010 the record from November 17, 1993 to September 28, 2009 was set back from 'Approved' to 'In Review' by M Kleeschulte so a -2.4 ft measuring point height correction could be applied to the entire period of record. This was done to reference the water levels to land surface instead of the measuring point which is the reference in the field. A +0.05 ft correction was applied to the period 06/25/2009 to 09/28/2009 after it was set to 'Approved' status. Consecutive gage resets which countered each other was not detected until after the record was approved.

GROUNDWATER RECORDS

DATUM - Land-surface datum is 849.06 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: unknown, 2.4 ft above land-surface datum, May. 1, 1955 to present.  

PERIOD OF RECORD - November 17, 1993 to present.

GAGE - Stevens model 7001 digital recorder installed October 1, 1993. January 30, 2001 to present; DCP with float, encoder, and telemetry capability was installed as the water level recording device.

COOPERATION - Data furnished by Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR); Record from November 17, 1993 to January 29, 2001 furnished from MDNR. The record from January 29, 2001 to present processed by USGS and MDNR.

REMARKS - Furnished record rated fair (November 17, 1993 to January 29, 2001) because no water level measurements are available to verify daily values. Furnished record from January 30, 2001 to September 28, 2009 rated good based on 8 water level measurements made during this period to verify recorded water levels. Data from 09/28/2009 to 08/18/2010 is good based on 5 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.1 ft. Data from 08/18/2010 to 08/02/2011 is good based on 4 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 08/03/2011 to 10/03/2012 is good based on 4 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 10/03/2012 to 10/01/2013 is good based on 3 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft The record from 10/02/2013 to 11/03/2014 is good based on 2 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 11/04/2014 to 05/23/2016 is good based on 4 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft The differences in the calibration of the tapes have contributed to the change in the accuracy of the data from +/-0.05 to +/-0.10 ft. The record from 05/24/2016 to 05/23/2018 is good based on 3 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data is accurate to +/- .05 ft. The record from 05/24/5018 to 01/09/2019 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 01/10/2019 to 06/24/2019 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 06/25/2019 to 01/15/2020 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.10 ft.
