  • Water-Year Summary reports summarize a year of hydrologic data in a printer-friendly format.
  • For water years 2014 onward, choose a water year and parameter and an on-demand Water-Year Summary report will be generated.
  • For water years 2006 through 2013, choose a water year and an Annual Water Data Report will be provided.
  • For water years 2005 and earlier, Annual Water Data Reports may be available in digital format.
  • Not all sites have reports available for every water year.

USGS Water-Year Summary 2023
371548093144702 Valley Water Mills Ozark Aquifer
Ozark Plateaus aquifer system
Canadian Series
LOCATION - Lat 37°15'47.6", long 93°14'47.4" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SE 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.05, T.29 N., R.21 W., Greene County, MO, Hydrologic Unit 10290106,
REVISIONS HISTORY - Revisions: Land-surface datum was revised to 1,220.49 ft NAVD88 on Oct. 4, 2023, as determined by a GNSS survey by Missouri DNR. Land-surface datum was previously published in error as 1,212 ft NAVD88 from topographic map. Discrete water-level measurements referenced to NGVD29 and NAVD88 were revised, based on changes to the land-surface datum.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 1,220.49 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: unknown, 1.3 ft above land-surface datum, Mar. 1, 2007 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - March 22, 2007 to present.
GAGE - March 22, 2007 to present; DCP with telemetry capability, and float and encoder installed as the water level recording and measuring devices.
COOPERATION - Data furnished by Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR). Data processed by USGS and MDNR.
REMARKS - This well has float sticking issues and on occaision it appears the float may be stuck prior to opening the gage shelter. Opening the shelter causes sufficient disturbance to free the float so that when the recorder is read it is in agreement with the water level measurement. However, a 'jump' in the recorded data is seen. Typical 'jumps' in the data are less than 0.3 ft. The data from 03/22/2007 to 09/30/2008 is fair based on 6 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.3 ft. Data from 10/01/2008 to 09/29/2010 is good based on 7 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.1 ft. The float sticking problem appears to be diminished during this period. Data from 09/29/2010 to 07/13/2011 is good based on 4 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 07/13/2011 to 05/16/2012 is good based on 4 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.1 ft. The record from 05/17/2012 to 10/01/2013 is good based on 4 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.20 ft. The gage appears to be drifting between 1 and 2 tenths of a foot between site visits. The reason for this is unknown. The record from 10/02/2013 to 11/04/2014 is good based on 3 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.20 ft. Gage still appears to be drifting. Maybe encoder is faulty. The record from 11/05/2014 to 04/04/2016 is fair based on 4 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.30 ft. Gage still appears to be drifting. Maybe encoder is faulty. The record from 04/05/2016 to 09/27/2016 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 09/28/2016 to 04/04/2017 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft.The record from 04/05/2017 to 12/12/2017 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.10 ft. The record from 12/13/2017 to 03/28/2018 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.10 ft. The record from 03/29/2018 to 05/22/2018 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.15 ft. The record from 05/23/2018 to 09/24/2018 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.20 ft. The record from 09/25/2018 to 01/09/2019 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.20 ft. The record from 01/10/2019 to 06/25/2019 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.15 ft. The record from 06/25/2019 to 09/09/2019 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.15 ft.
