LOCATION - Lat 39°16'27", long 85°53'44" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NE 1/4 NE 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.31, T.10 N., R.6 E., Bartholomew County, IN, Hydrologic Unit 05120205, by a cemetery on the north side of Bakalar AFB at the northern city limits of Columbus.

GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 93 ft. Upper casing diameter 6 in; top of first opening 85 ft, bottom of last opening 90 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 653.71 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: TOP OF FLOOR OF SHELTER, 2.6 ft above land-surface datum, Jan. 15, 1965 to present. From Jan. 1965 to Nov. 2017 datum of gage was 645.04 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 at same location and same measuring point.
PERIOD OF RECORD - January 1965 to current year.
GAGE - Water-level recorder.
REMARKS - Water level affected by agricultural withdrawals during May - August growing season. 
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level, 10.69 ft below land-surface datum, June 19, 2008; lowest, 21.31 ft below land-surface datum, Aug. 31, 2013.
