LOCATION - Lat 39°40'24", long 78°27'34" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Allegany County, MD, Hydrologic Unit 02070003, near Fifteen Mile Creek, 2.8 mi southeast of Pratt.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 114.5 ft. Upper casing diameter 8 in; top of first opening undefined, bottom of last opening undefined.

Drilled, observation, artesian well. Casing to unknown depth; open hole.

Well sounded to 125.05 ft from MP on February 25, 2020 with thick sediment on bottom noted.

DATUM - Land-surface datum is 720 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: Top of recorder shelter platform, 3.10 ft above land-surface datum, Sep. 16, 2009 to present.

Levels run into site December 23, 2019 show elevation of land surface is 715.32 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988 starting December 23, 2019 to present. No change to MP of 3.10 ft.

PERIOD OF RECORD - December 1949 to current year.
GAGE -  Equipped with digital water-level recorder--30-minute recorder interval from October 2009 to October 2012 (discontinued). Monthly water-level measurements by U.S. Geological Survey personnel with calibrated E-Tape.
REMARKS - Maryland Groundwater-Level Monitoring Network observation well. Water level was more than 40 ft below land surface on November 19, 1969, and February 12, 1970, when well was being pumped. Water levels may be affected by local groundwater withdrawal.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level measured, 1.49 below land surface on November 27, 2017; lowest measured 22.80 (Low) below land surface on July 16, 1968 (see remarks).
