LOCATION - Lat 41°46'30", long 70°01'49" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Barnstable County, MA, Hydrologic Unit 01090002, 50 ft east of entrance to Nickerson State Park and 50 ft south of State Highway 6A in Brewster.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 52 ft. Upper casing diameter 1.25 in; top of first opening 49 ft, bottom of last opening 52 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 50.45 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: top of well casing in shelter, 3.06 ft above land-surface datum, Dec. 1, 2001, to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - November 1962 to current year.
GAGE - Digital recorder with satellite telemeter since December 2001. Monthly measurements prior to December 2001.
COOPERATION - Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, Office of Water Resources.
REMARKS - Records are good. Periods of missing record are not estimated. Water levels affected by twice daily tidal fluctuations of about 0.03 ft.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level, 28.01 ft below land-surface datum, June 30, July 1, 2, 4, 2006 (recorded values); lowest, 33.84 ft below land-surface datum, Nov. 12, 13, 16, 2002 (recorded values).
