LOCATION - Lat 33°47'16.3", long 83°28'27.3" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Oconee County, GA, Hydrologic Unit 03070101, on left bank, 1,000 feet upstream from bridge on Price Mill Road, 4.0 miles downstream from High Shoals Dam, 4.0 miles upstream of Jacks Creek, and 4.0 miles northeast of Bostwick, GA.
DRAINAGE AREA - 176 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD -
DISCHARGE: July 1944 to December 1949, April 1977 to current year.
GAGE HEIGHT: October 1998 to current year.
GAGE - Satellite telemetry with a water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 544.0 feet above North American Vertical Datum (NAVD) of 1988 (leveling by Global Positioning System equipment).
COOPERATION - Georgia Power Corporation.
REMARKS - Gage-height records are generally fair. Discharge records are generally fair except for estimated discharges, which are poor. Some regulation at low flow occurs due to the operation of the High Shoals power plant.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge recorded, 11,200 cfs, January 6, 1946; maximum gage height recorded, 8.90 feet, January 6, 1946; minimum daily discharge, 5.8 cfs, August 22, 2008.
