LOCATION - Lat 21°32'25.5", long 157°52'57.2" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Honolulu County, HI, Hydrologic Unit 20060000, on right bank, about 40 feet bankward from USGS stream-gaging station 16296500, 1.1 miles southwest of Kahana, and 2.2 miles southwest of Swanzy Beach Park in Kaaawa.

INSTRUMENTATION - An electronic data logger with a tipping-bucket counter system (TBC). The TBC is mounted on the side of the gage house, protruding slightly above the roof. One side of the TBC empties into a standard NWS accumulation can. Prior to December 18, 2007, float and encoder system. Elevation of gage is 95 feet above mean sea level (from topographic map).
