LOCATION - Lat 21°33'23.2", long 157°53'56.4" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Honolulu County, HI, Hydrologic Unit 20060000, on left bank at Punaluu ditch diversion dam, 20 ft bankward from USGS stream-gaging station 16301050, 1.4 mi west of Kahana, and 1.8 mi southwest of Punaluu.
CLIMATOLOGICAL RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Continuous-record station, August 2003 to current year.
INSTRUMENTATION - Electronic data logger with dual-tipping bucket system, along with a standard 8-in. National Weather Service collector attached to a 7 5/16-in. diameter by 4-ft tall rain can used to measure total rainfall accumulation. Prior to November 13, 2007, float system with shaft encoder coupled to an data recorder. Elevation of gage is 240 ft above mean sea level (from calibrated GPS).
REMARKS - Rainfall recorded in hundredths of an inch. Prior to November 13, 2007, recorded in tenths of an inch.
