LOCATION - Lat 37°38'49", long 97°16'49" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 NE 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.02, T.28 S., R.1 E., Sedgwick County, KS, Hydrologic Unit 11030013, at downstream side of Oliver Street bridge in Wichita.
DRAINAGE AREA - 16.4 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR KS-09-1: 2007(M), 2008(M).
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Annual maximum, water years 1968 to 1987 (peak-flow station), 1983 to 1984 (seasonal records only), April 2004 to current year (operated as a peak-flow station). Gage height for 1968-77 and 1983-94 is unreliable and should not be used. Continuous data collection Sept. 2023 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. The datum of the gage is 1,273.15 ft. above mean sea level.
REMARKS - Satellite telemeter at station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge occurred Apr. 27, 2009 with 6,460 cfs and corresponding stage of 21.82 ft.
