LOCATION.--Lat 38°36'03", long 77°10'56", referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Charles County, MD, Hydrologic Unit 02070010, on left bank, at Naval Support Facility Indian Head, and 3.5 mi above mouth of Mattawoman Creek
DRAINAGE AREA.--Not determined..
PERIOD OF RECORD.--January 1979 to November 1990. March 2022 to current year.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 0.00 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. From January 1979 to November 1990, water stage recorder, set to 10 ft above NGVD29.
REMARKS.--This is a tidal station. Discharge is not determined at this location. U.S. Geological Survey satellite data-collection platform at station. Water-quality records for some prior periods have been collected at this location.
COOPERATION.--Funding for the operation of this station is provided by the Naval Support Facility Indian Head and the U.S. Geological Survey.
This station managed by the MD-DE-DC Water Science Center Baltimore office.
