LOCATION - Lat 42°34'44", long 83°37'36" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NE 1/4 sec.16, T.2 N., R.7 E., Oakland County, MI, Hydrologic Unit 04090005, on left bank 40 ft downstream from bridge on General Motors Road, 0.5 mi downstream from Sherwood Creek, and 0.5 mi west of Milford.
DRAINAGE AREA - 132 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1337: 1952(m). WSP 2112: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - September 1948 to September 2011, October 2014 to November 2020.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 879.52 ft above NAVD 88, converted on July 9, 2020 from NGVD 29. Prior to Apr. 1, 1970, at site 240 ft upstream at same datum.
REMARKS - Flow below about 300 ft³/s regulated by powerplant 1.5 mi upstream from station prior to May 20, 1957; occasional regulation for lake-level control since.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 648 ft³/s, Oct. 3, 1981, gage height, 7.87 ft; maximum gage height, 8.26 ft, June 28, 1968.
