LOCATION.--Lat 40°42'40.7", long 74°07'22.3" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Newark City, Essex County, NJ, Hydrologic Unit 02030104, on right bank of Newark Bay at the Passaic Valley Sewerage Commision treatment plant at Oak Island Yards, 0.5 mi downstream from the confluence of Passaic and Hackensack Rivers at Newark Bay and 1.2 mi upstream of the Vincent R. Casciano Memorial Bridge on US Highway 78 in Newark, New Jersey.

INSTRUMENTATION1.--A multi-parameter water-quality sonde measures water temperature, specific conductance, pH, dissolved oxygen, and turbidity at 15-minute intervals since July 2021. Salinity record computed from specific-conductance readings.
COOPERATION1.--Maintained by the Hudson River Environmental Conditions Observing System in cooperation with the Passaic Valley Sewerage Commision.
