This site is a Flood Warning Station located in Turkey Track Canyon, which is a small drainage just West of West Cedar Creek Canyon of the White Mountain Apache Nation. It was installed 07/15/2016. It measures storm run-off stage and precipitation in one of the drainages coming out of the burned area of the Cedar Fire (June, 2016). The station consists of a rain gauge, two water level sensors, and a Data Collection Platform (DCP). Data collected from these sensors are stored and transmitted hourly by the DCP via satellite telemetry. The data are then displayed here on this web page. Data are transmitted and updated on this page every 5 minutes when severe rainfall or water flow conditions exist.
