DRAINAGE AREA - 23.7 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - Annual peak discharges for water years 2000 - 2008.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - DISCHARGE: August 1999 to current year. RESERVOIR ELEVATION: March 2001 to current year. RESERVOIR STORAGE: March 2001 to current year.
GAGE - Data Collection Platform with telephone telemeter. Datum of streamgage 42.14 ft above NAVD 1988, estimated from topographic map. Previously reported as 43 ft above NGVD 1929, from topographic map. Datum of reservoir gage is 80.30 ft, referenced to the City of Cambridge datum. Subtract 10.84 ft to convert to elevation above NGVD 1929. Subtract 11.70 ft to convert to elevation above NAVD 1988.
COOPERATION - Cambridge Water Department.
REMARKS - Discharge records good except those for estimated daily discharges and discharges less than 1.0 cfs, which are poor. Records for daily mean reservoir elevation good except those for missing records, which are not rated and not estimated. Records for daily mean reservoir storage are fair except those for estimated daily mean reservoir storage, which are poor. Flow affected by withdrawal for municipal water supply for Cambridge and regulation of dam, 300 ft upstream at outflow of Stony Brook Reservoir.

Note: No flow during many days throughout the period of record from controlled shutdowns.
