LOCATION - Lat 42°13'49", long 71°42'41" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Worcester County, MA, Hydrologic Unit 01090003, on right bank 800 ft downstream from dam at outlet of Hovey Pond at North Grafton and 0.3 mi upstream from Bummett Brook.
DRAINAGE AREA - 25.6 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR MA-RI-84-1: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Discharge: October 1939 to current year.
GAGE - Data Collection platform with satellite telemeter. Datum of gage is 334.32 ft above NAVD 1988, estimated from topographic map. Prior to May 4, 2020, datum of the gage reported as 335 ft above NGVD 1929, estimated from topographic map. Prior to Dec. 7, 1939, staff gage at same site and datum.
COOPERATION - Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, Office of Water Resources.
REMARKS - Records good except those for estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Occasional regulation by Lake Quinsigamond, 2.3 mi upstream, and by ponds upstream. No flow Sept. 13-17, 1980; no flow Aug. 6-9 and 22, 1966 (caused by unusual regulation).
