LOCATION - Lat 41°57'46", long 73°01'05" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Litchfield County, CT, Hydrologic Unit 01080207, on right bank at downstream side of bridge on State Rt. 20 at Riverton, 0.3 mi upstream from Still River, 2.0 mi downstream from Goodwin Dam of West Branch Reservoir, and at mile 55.
DRAINAGE AREA - 131 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1501: 1956. WSP 1551: 1957. WSP 1701: 1958-59.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Discharge: August 1955 to current year. Water-quality records: water years 1954, 1955, 1975-80.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 485.60 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Prior to Mar. 29, 1957, non-recording gage at same site and datum. Telephone telemetry at station. Satellite telemetry at station.
REMARKS -

Peak flows are affected by flood-control regulation from Colebrook River Lake since 1969. The natural flow regime can be altered by regulation at Otis Reservoir, Colebrook River Lake, and West Branch Reservoir.
