LOCATION - Lat 42°05'57.8", long 74°17'40.6" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Ulster County, NY, Hydrologic Unit 02020006, about 700 ft upstream from Stony Clove Creek, near Chichester.
DRAINAGE AREA - 8.94 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - Discharge for period of Feb. 25, 2017 to Feb. 26, 2017 and Apr. 4, 2017 to Apr. 7, 2017, was revised on Jan. 29, 2019, based on changes to the stage-discharge rating.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 1,380 ft³/s, Sept. 18, 2012, gage height, 6.29 ft; minimum discharge, 0.36 ft³/s, Sept. 24, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 2014, gage height, 1.43 ft.
WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD - SUSPENDED-SEDIMENT DISCHARGE: May 2012 to current year.
REMARKS - Turbidity data are collected every 15 minutes using an in-situ turbidity probe located a 2-inch diameter galvanized steel pipe extending 10 ft from the left bank. Daily suspended-sediment load and concentration are derived from a regression equation relating turbidity to suspended-sediment concentration.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - SUSPENDED-SEDIMENT CONCENTRATION: Maximum daily mean, 524 mg/L, Sept. 18, 2012; minimum daily mean, <1 mg/L, on many days in August and September 2014. SUSPENDED-SEDIMENT DISCHARGE: Maximum daily, 1,120 tons, Sept. 18, 2012; minimum daily, <0.01 tons, on many days in 2013-14.
