LOCATION - Lat 40°48'44", long 74°30'43" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Morris Township, Morris County, NJ, Hydrologic Unit 02030103, on left downstream wingwall of bridge on Sussex Avenue, 1.9 mi northwest of Morristown, and 2.7 mi upstream from Lake Pocahontas Dam.
DRAINAGE AREA - 14 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR US-2006: 1997, 1999, 2004(M), 2005(M). WDR US-2011: 1997(M), 1999(M), 2006(M), 2007(M), 2010(M).  On Jul 30, 2019, discharge for the period of Jan 4 to Jan 11, 2018, was revised based on hydrographic comparison.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Occasional low-flow measurements, water years 1964-1972. Continuous-record discharge station, August 1995 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder with telemetry and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 311.35 ft above NAVD of 1988.
REMARKS - Records good, except estimated discharges, which are fair. Water diverted upstream at Clyde Potts Reservoir on Harmony Brook for municipal supply by the Southeast Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority. Discharges above 900 ft³/s from rating curve extension on basis of contracted-opening and flow-over-road computations.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 2,300 ft³/s, Aug 28, 2011, gage height, 10.42 ft, from rating curve extended above 900 ft³/s on basis of contracted-opening and flow-over-road computations; minimum discharge, 1.7 ft³/s, Aug 7, 1999.
