LOCATION - Lat 41°01'39", long 74°15'00" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Oakland Borough, Bergen County, NJ, Hydrologic Unit 02030103, on West Oakland Avenue Bridge at Oakland 800 ft downstream of Interstate 287, 0.6 mi southwest of Crystal Lake, and 1 mi southeast of Ramapo Lake.
DRAINAGE AREA - 145 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 2008 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder with telemetry. Datum of gage is 200.00 ft above NAVD of 1988. Prior to October 1, 2011, published at Ramapo River at Railroad Bridge at Oakland (station 01387908) located 1300 ft downstream at a drainage area of 145 mi².
COOPERATION - Funding for this gage is provided by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Dam Safety and Flood Control.
REMARKS - Records fair, except for estimated discharges, which are poor.
