LOCATION - Lat 40°12'12", long 74°03'57" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Neptune Township, Monmouth County, NJ, Hydrologic Unit 02030104, on left bank 100 ft downstream from dam on Jumping Brook Reservoir, 500 ft upstream of bridge on Old Corlies Avenue, 0.8 mi upstream from mouth, and 1.4 mi west of Neptune City.
DRAINAGE AREA - 6.46 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR NJ-84-1: drainage area. WDR US-2012: 1967-1969(M), 1970-1971, 1972-1973(M), 1974-1975, 1976-1977(M), 1978-1980, 1983-1984, 1985(M), 1986-1990, 1991-1992(M), 1994(M), 1997-2001(M), 2004(M), 2006, 2007-2010(M).
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Continuous-record discharge station, October 1966 to current year. Records for water years 1976-83 were unpublished but are available online and in the files of New Jersey Water Science Center.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder with telemetry, crest-stage gage, and concrete control. Datum of gage is 13.76 ft above NGVD of 1929.
REMARKS - Records good, except for estimated discharges, which are fair. Diversion above station by New Jersey-American Water Company for municipal supply and by farmers and golf courses for irrigation.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 1,310 ft³/s, May 27, 2018, gage height, 7.89 ft; minimum discharge, 0.0 ft³/s, Jun 7, 1971.
