01468500 SCHUYLKILL RIVER AT LANDINGVILLE, PA
LOCATION - Lat 40°37'45", long 76°07'30" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Schuylkill County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 02040203, on left bank 10 ft upstream from highway bridge on SR 2011 at Landingville, 0.1 mi upstream from Mahannon Creek, and 5.0 mi downstream from West Branch Schuylkill River.
DRAINAGE AREA - 133 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR PA-75-1: 1973(P), 1974(P).
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - August 1947 to April 1953, October 1963 to September 1965, August 1973 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder, crest-stage gage, and water-quality monitor. Datum of gage is 469.97 ft. above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Prior to Aug. 27, 1947, non-recording gage 10 ft downstream at same datum. Prior to September 1, 2023, the datum of gage was reported as 470.64 ft. above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929.  Satellite and landline telemetry at station.
COOPERATION - Station established and maintained by the U.S. Geological Survey. Funding for this station is provided by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, and the U.S. Geological Survey.
REMARKS - Record for water years 2014-2020 are good except those above 1,000 ft³/s, which are fair, and estimated discharge, which is poor. Records for water years 2021-2023 are fair except for estimated discharge, which is poor.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood in June 1972 reached a stage of 17.36 ft, discharge, about 14,000 ft³/s.

PERIOD OF RECORD - September 2013 to current year.
COOPERATION - Station established and maintained by the U.S. Geological Survey. Funding for the operation of this station is provided by the Delaware River Basin Commission.
INSTRUMENTATION - Specific conductance probe interfaced with a data collection platform.
REMARKS - Record for water year 2014 rated good except for period Dec 10 through June 2, which is fair. Record for water year 2015 rated good except for period Jan 28 through Feb 5, and period Apr 20 to May 12, which are fair. Record for water year 2016 rated good. Record for water year 2017 rated good, except those for period Feb 25 - Mar 4, Mar 7-10, Mar 21-24, Apr 23-30, May 31 - Jun 22 and July 5, 6 and 11, and Sept 11-15 which are fair, and May 10-12, which is poor. Record for water year 2018 rated fair except for June 11 - July 26 and Aug 13 - Sept 5, which are poor. Beginning in water year 2019, water quality records are not rated as "excellent", "good", "fair", or "poor".
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD - SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: Maximum, 1260 microsiemens, Feb 16, 2016; minimum, 117 microsiemens, September 1, 2021.
