01494850 EAST BRANCH BIG ELK CREEK AT FORESTVILLE, PA
LOCATION - Lat 39°49'20", long 75°53'50" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Chester County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 02060002, on upstream side of bridge on West Baltimore Pike, 0.83 mi northeast of Forestville, and 3.7 mi west of West Grove.
DRAINAGE AREA - 9.69 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY -

Prior to October 28, 2022 the datum of gage was reported as 410 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 (NAVD29)

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 2007 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 395.2 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (NAVD88) from single-base GNSS rapid static survey.  Satellite and landline telemetry at station.  Prior to October 29, 2022, the datum of gage was erroneously reported as 410 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1929 (NGVD29).
COOPERATION - Station established and maintained by the U.S. Geological Survey. Funding for the operation of this station is provided by the Chester County Water Resources Authority and the U.S. Geological Survey.
REMARKS - Records for water year 2014 rated fair except those for estimated daily discharges, which are poor.
Records for water year 2015 rated fair except those for estimated daily discharges, which are poor.
Records for water year 2016 rated fair except those for estimated daily discharges, which are poor.
