01553850 Chillisquaque Creek near Potts Grove, PA
LOCATION - Lat 40°58'28", long 76°48'00" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Northumberland County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 02050206, on left, downstream end of bridge on Shakespeare Rd (SR1025), 1.5 miles south of Potts Grove, 5.5 miles upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 101.2 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - Revisions: Discharge and associated peak flows for the periods May 16,17, 2014; Feb 25, 2016; May 2,3, 2017; and July 24,25, 2017; were revised on Aug 15, 2018, based on changes to the stage-discharge rating at gage heights above 27.00 ft.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - January 2013 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 439.1 ft NAVD 1988. Satellite telemetry at station.
COOPERATION - Station established and maintained by the U.S. Geological Survey in cooperation with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
REMARKS - Flow includes diversion from West Branch Susquehanna River.  Records are good except those for estimated discharge, which are poor. 
WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - November 2012 to current year.
COOPERATION - Water-quality samples were collected as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection Water-Quality Network (WQN) with cooperation from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.
REMARKS - As of October 2013, results from discrete water quality samples collected at this site are available through the U.S. Geological Survey National Water Information System web interface on the "Water Quality for the Nation" webpage. Analyses for pH, water temperature, specific conductance, and dissolved oxygen were performed on site. All other sample analyses were performed at the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection laboratory in Harrisburg, Pa. Occasionally, values for filtered parameters may exceed values for the corresponding unfiltered parameter. These results are within the limits of analytical precision and methods.
