LOCATION - Lat 38°05'19", long 78°52'38" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Waynesboro City, VA, Hydrologic Unit 02070005, on left bank at downstream side of Hopeman Parkway, 1.1 miles downstream from Steel Run and 1.6 miles southwest of Dooms.
DRAINAGE AREA - 148 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - OFR 2006-1308: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - April 1974 to December 1996, July 2005 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 1,246.04 (±0.1) ft above NAVD 88. Prior to Sept. 18, 1980, nonrecording gage at site 30 ft upstream at present datum.
COOPERATION - Records were provided by the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality - Water Division.
REMARKS - There are discharges from wastewater treatment plants upstream of station, originating from well fields. Maximum discharge, 21,100 ft³/s from rating curve extended above 8,100 ft³/s.
