WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - June of 2023 to current year.
INSTRUMENTATION - YSI EXO2 multiparameter sonde.
REMARKS - Missing record due to periodic instrument malfunction or times when the sensor is being serviced.  Occasional localized spikes in water quality data can be caused from boating, fishing, swimming, and other recreational activities, as well as high winds.  These localized spikes are believed to be real, though they may not be representative of the entire river.  Due to the width of the river at higher stages during rain events, the continuous water quality data may not be representative of the entire river during those periods. At base flow the sonde better represents the entire channel because the river is channelized down to about 60 feet wide at the gage.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - WATER TEMPERATURE: Maximum, 32.9°C, July 28, 2023; Minimum, -0.1°C, several days during 2024 Water Year. SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: Maximum, 617 microsiemens/cm, September 08, 2023; Minimum, 115 microsiemens/cm, January 11, 2024. DISSOLVED OXYGEN: Maximum, 18.4 mg/L, November 16, 2023; Minimum, 4.3 mg/L, July 08, 2023. PH: Maximum, 9.1 standard units, April 26, 2024; Minimum, 7.2 standard units, December 19, 2023.  TURBIDITY: Maximum, 533 FNU, December 18, 2023; Minimum, 0.6 FNU, first occurring on November 20, 2023.
