0207730290 AFTERBAY RESERVIOR AT DAM NEAR McGEHEES MILL, NC
LOCATION - Lat 36°31'19.8", long 78°59'49.8" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Person County, NC, Hydrologic Unit 03010104, on Afterbay Reservoir dam on Hyco River, 1.2 mi upstream from Ghent Creek, and 1.8 mi northeast of McGehees Mill.
DRAINAGE AREA - 202 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - January 1996 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. The datum of the gage is 0.32 ft below NAVD88 NAD83(2011) Geoid 18 as determined by a level III static GNSS observation performed on Spetember 18, 2019. The datum of the gage is 0.595 ft above NGVD29 as determined by a VERTCON conversion from the NAVD88 elevation. 

The previous datum was reported as being set 0.00 feet above NGVD29 by cooperator provided datum. No changes have been made to the gage datum to bring to true NGVD29, however it should be noted that the gage is not reporting in true NGVD29 elevation. Satellite telemetry at station.

REMARKS -

Gage-height records are generally good.
