LOCATION - Lat 36°02'14", long 79°56'44" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Guilford County, NC, Hydrologic Unit 03030003, on right bank, downstream of culvert on Secondary Road 1541, 3.3 mi upstream from High Point Dam, and 5.2 mi northeast of High Point College, High Point.
DRAINAGE AREA - 14.8 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1723: 1929(M). WDR NC-80-1: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - July 1928 to March 1994, October 1997 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 759.1 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988, by differential GPS. Satellite telemetry at streamgage.
REMARKS - Gage-height records are generally good. Discharge records are generally fair except for estimated discharges, which are poor. EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 6,300 ft3/s, September 24, 1947, from rating curve extended above 1,600 ft3/s on basis of contracted-opening measurement of peak flow. Minimum daily mean discharge 0.23 ft3/s, August 21, 2008.
