LOCATION - Lat 33°51'05", long 78°39'22" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Horry County, SC, Hydrologic Unit 03040207, on bridge fender near center of channel under S.C. Hwy 9 bridge of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway, 0.5 mi. southeast of Nixons Crossroads, 5.2 mi. south of the junction of Little River Inlet and at Mile 347.3

GAGE - Data collection platform. Datum of gage is 12.70 ft below NAVD of 1988. Prior to August 26, 2003, at site 250 ft upstream at same datum.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum gage height, 19.39 ft. Aug. 3, 2020 as a result of Hurricane Matthew; minimum gage height, 8.42 ft, Jan. 1, 1990.
