LOCATION - Lat 30°15'51", long 81°35'25" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in T.3 S., R.27 E., Duval County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03080103, in land grant 56, on downstream side of bridge on Bowden Road, 0.14 mi downstream from Bennett Branch, 4.5 mi southeast of South Jacksonville, 5.7 mi upstream from Silversmith Creek, 6.5 mi southeast of Union Station in Jacksonville, and 7.3 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 9.89 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Water-years 1965-68, 74-79, 85-89 (miscellaneous discharge measurements), January 1990 to September 1993 (annual peak discharges and gage heights only), October 1993 to September 1994, September 2015 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and data-collection platform. Datum of gage is 16.66 ft below NGVD of 1929 (levels by Bradshaw Surveying, Inc) and 17.77 ft below NAVD of 1988. Prior to January 1990, nonrecording gage at datum 16.66 ft higher.
COOPERATION - This gage is monitored in cooperation with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
