SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1930 to June 1998 (miscellaneous discharge measurements), June 2001 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder, acoustic velocity meter, and data-collection platform. Datum of gage is 0.53 ft below National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 and 1.19 ft below NAVD of 1988.
COOPERATION - This gage is monitored in cooperation with the Suwannee River Water Management District.
REMARKS - Discharge not published some days, due to bad or missing velocity data or gage height data. Discharge computed from continuous velocity record obtained from index-velocity meter. Flow affected by tide. The Suwannee River flow can back up into the spring run during periods of high flow producing negative velocities and discharges. Flows recorded during these periods could contain a mixture of river and spring flow, or be totally river flow.
