02327031 SPRING CREEK NEAR SPRING CREEK, FL
LOCATION - Lat 30°04'21", long 84°19'39" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Wakulla County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03120001, near right bank 0.75 mi downstream of Spring Creek Campground boat ramp, 9 mi southeast of Crawfordville, 9.75 mi southwest of St. Marks, and 28.5 mi south of Tallahassee.
DRAINAGE AREA - Indeterminate.
REVISIONS HISTORY - Discharge for the period Jul. 22, 2015, to Sept. 30, 2015, was revised on April 14, 2017, based on changes to the processing of the mean water velocity. Precipitation records from May 8, 2014 to September 30, 2016, are unreliable and should not be used.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - June 25, 2007, to September 30, 2010 (Discontinued). Reinstalled on Oct. 1, 2013 to present.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder, index-velocity meter, and data-collection platform. Datum of gage is North American Vertical Datum of 1988.
COOPERATION - Northwest Florida Water Management District and Florida Department of Environmental Protection.
REMARKS - Streamflow at this site is affected significantly by astronomical tides. Starting on October 1, 2013, daily mean discharge was computed using the Godin low-pass filter to remove tidal effects from instantaneous values.
CLIMATOLOGICAL RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - November 15, 2013 to September 30, 2020.
INSTRUMENTATION - A 8-inch diameter, tipping bucket precipitation Gage 15-minute-interval, mounted to a 2-inch diameter pipe.
REMARKS - Collection, computation and publication of precipitation data do not necessarily conform to standards used by the National Weather Service.
WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - June 25, 2007, to September 30, 2010 (Discontinued). Reinstalled Oct. 1, 2013 to current year.
INSTRUMENTATION - YSI EXO2 water-quality monitor consisting of specific conductivity and temperature.
REMARKS - Extremes for current year and extremes for period of daily record are based on recorded values and may have been exceeded during periods of no record.
