LOCATION - Lat 33°49'13.1", long 84°24'27.5" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Fulton County, GA, Hydrologic Unit 03130001, on downstream side of bridge on Northside Drive, 0.4 miles downstream from Tanyard Branch, and 4.0 miles upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 86.8 mi².
- WDR GA-96-1: 1995 (P, daily discharge, daily stage and monthly runoff). WDR US-2009: 2009 (M).
PERIOD OF RECORD -
DISCHARGE: June 1958 to current year.
GAGE-HEIGHT: October 1999 to current year.
- Satellite telemetry with a water-stage recorder and continuous water-quality monitor. Datum of gage is 764.13 ft above NAVD 88. The NAVD 88 datum of
gage was determined from two GNSS Level I, single-base static surveys of RM 9
(REF FRAME: NAD_83(2011)(EPOCH:2010.0000), GEOID18), completed by USGS
personnel on February 19 and 26, 2020. RM 9 was tied to the gage datum via
conventional levels completed by USGS personnel on April 30, 2020. Prior to December 3, 2020, the manuscript stated that the datum of gage was 763.96 ft above NGVD
of 1929 using a benchmark elevation supplied by the City of Atlanta. The
metadata on the origin benchmark used to determine the original gage datum
could not be found. The original gage datum is within the uncertainty of the
GNSS Level I survey so no revision is needed.
