LOCATION - Lat 32°09'09.8", long 84°54'21.3" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Stewart County, GA, Hydrologic Unit 03130003, 2.5 mi upstream from confluence with Colochee Creek, 9.1 mi dowstream from confluence with the Chattahoochee River, and 0.3 mi south of Union.
DRAINAGE AREA - 121 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - Gage datum was revised on August 26, 2021, based on an error in the determination of the gage datum.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD -
DISCHARGE: June 1964 to September 1965 (published as station 02342850 Hanahatchie Creek at Julia, GA). May 2008 to current year.
GAGE-HEIGHT: May 2008 to current year.
GAGE - Satellite transmitter with a water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 232.87 feet above North American Vertical Datum (NAVD) of 1988. June 1964 to September 1965 recording gage at same site and different datum.
COOPERATION - Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Environmental Protection Division.
REMARKS - Gage-height records are generally good. Discharge records are generally fair except for estimated discharges, which are poor.  Additional details on the accuracy of the records can be obtained by contacting the USGS South Atlantic Water Science Center at gs-w-ga_nwisweb_data_inquiries@usgs.gov.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge recorded, 9,280 cfs, December 25, 2015; maximum gage height recorded, 15.47 feet, December 25, 2015; minimum daily discharge, 5.0 cfs, June 29-30, 2012.
