LOCATION - Lat 34°49'39.0", long 84°51'03.5" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Murray County, GA, Hydrologic Unit 03150101, at downstream side of right bank pier of bridge on GA 286, 3.4 miles upstream from Mill Creek, 5.2 miles west of Eton, and at mile 42.7.
DRAINAGE AREA - 252 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY -

Gage datum was revised on February 16, 2022 based on an error in the determination of the gage datum.

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD -
DISCHARGE: Water years 1954-58, 1963-81 (annual maximum), October 1981 to current year.
GAGE HEIGHT: Water years 1954-58, 1963-81 (annual maximum), October 1998 to current year.
GAGE - Satellite telemetry with a water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 673.86 feet above National American Vertical Datum (NAVD) of 1988. From June 26, 1953, to September 30, 1958, and August 16, 1962 to September 30, 1981, a crest-stage gage was located at a site 75 feet downstream at datum 3.00 feet higher.
COOPERATION - STREAMGAGE: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. WATER QUALITY: Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Environmental Protection Division.
REMARKS - Gage-height records are generally good. Discharge records are generally fair except for estimated discharges, which are poor. Flow regulated by withdrawal and discharge from off-stream reservoir owned and operated by Dalton Utilities approximately 4.5 miles upstream of gage.
