LOCATION - Lat 34°17'25", long 85°30'33" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Cherokee County, AL, Hydrologic Unit 03150105, on left bank 10 ft upstream from bridge on county road, 600 ft downstream from Mills Creek, 3.5 mi northeast of Gaylesville, and 20.1 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 366 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1906: Location. WDR AL-83-1: Drainage area. Revision: Annual peak gage height for 2017 water year was revised on Jan. 18, 2023 to not being qualified as "estimated".

Prior to March 4, 2025, the datum of gage was 562.11 ft NGVD of 1929 (Alabama Power Company BM). December 4, 1958 to July 20, 1959, nonrecording gage at same site and datum.
REMARKS - Record considered good, except for estimated period, which are poor.
