03022554 WOODCOCK CREEK AT WOODCOCK CREEK DAM, PA
LOCATION - Lat 41°41'45", long 80°06'30" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Crawford County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 05010004, on left bank next to pedestrian walk bridge 0.5 mi downstream from Woodcock Creek Dam, 2.6 mi southeast of Saegertown, and 3.0 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 45.6 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - 1975-91, 2005-2009 (discharge measurements only), 2010 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 1,126.3 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (from GPS survey).  Prior to January 3. 2023, the datum of gage was reported as 1,126.92 above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 (from U.S. Army Corps of Engineers benchmark). Satellite telemetry at station.
COOPERATION - Station established and maintained by the U.S. Geological Survey. Funding for the operation of this station is provided by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District.
REMARKS - Flow completely regulated by Woodcock Creek Dam 0.5 mi upstream. Upstream gage on left bank at walk bridge 0.2 mile downstream of Woodcock Creek Dam.
WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD - WATER TEMPERATURE: October 2007 to current year.
INSTRUMENTATION - Water temperature sensor interfaced with a data collection platform with 15-minute recording interval.
REMARKS -

Values from the site monitor may not be representative of the entire stream width. Interruptions in the record were due to equipment malfunctions.

Historically, water temperatures below 0 degrees Celsius were not reported. Water temperature sensors now have the ability to accurately read water temperatures below 0 degrees Celsius. 

Cross-sectional water quality data is available upon request. Values reported by the monitor may not be representative of the entire stream width at all times.

For water year 2014, water temperature records rated fair, except for October 1 to March 13, which are rated poor. For water year 2015, water temperature records rated fair. For water year 2016, water temperature records are rated fair. For water year 2017, water temperature records are rated good. For water year 2018, water temperature records are rated poor. For water year 2019, water temperature records are rated good, except for March 28 to April 25, which are rated fair. Beginning water year 2020, water quality data is no longer given qualitative ratings "excellent", "good', "fair", or "poor".
