LOCATION - Lat 41°06'19", long 80°39'56" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Mahoning County, OH, Hydrologic Unit 05030103, on right bank 500 ft above West Avenue Bridge, 0.5 mi upstream from Spring Common Bridge, 0.43 mi downstream from Mill Creek, in Youngstown. Formerly located at Lat 41 06 18, Long 80 39 46 NAD83 prior to May 2024

DRAINAGE AREA - 978 mi².

REMARKS -

Water diversions exist both upstream and downstream of gage. Flow regulated by a lake, 49 mi upstream, beginning in 1942; by a reservoir, 41 mi upstream; by a reservoir, 44 mi upstream on West Branch, beginning in 1966; by a lake, 23 mi upstream, beginning in 1943; by a reservoir, 12 mi upstream, beginning in 1929; and by reservoir on Squaw Creek, 6 mi upstream, and 2 small reservoirs on Mill Creek, 0.6 mi upstream. Water-quality data collected at this site. WATER-QUALITY RECORD: Oct. 1, 2013 to Dec. 6, 2018: Water temperature (tank): Records good except May 13, 2014 to July 20, 2014, and Oct. 12, 2016 to Mar. 21, 2017, which are fair and July 21, 2014 to Aug. 2, 2014, and Aug. 26, 2014 to Dec. 5, 2014, which are poor.
