LOCATION - Lat 40°38'50", long 80°23'20" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Beaver County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 05030101, on downstream middle river wall on Montgomery Lock and Dam, 100 ft downstream of lower gates, at river mile 32.
DRAINAGE AREA - 22,960 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - Revisions: Depending on source, the datum of gage was erroneously reported as 653.6 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum prior to March 12, 2024
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 2017 to present.
GAGE - Water stage recorder with reference staff gage. Datum of gage is 652.16 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (from benchmark). Prior to March 12, 2024, the datum of gage was reported as 652.5 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 (NGVD29) or erroneously reported as 653.6 ft above NGVD29 depending on source.  Satellite telemetry at station.
COOPERATION - Station established and maintained by the U.S. Geological Survey in cooperation with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District.
