03159540 SHADE RIVER NEAR CHESTER OH
LOCATION - Lat 39°03'49", long 81°52'55" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Meigs County, OH, Hydrologic Unit 05030202, on right bank at downstream side of bridge on Oak Hill Road, 200 ft upstream from Sugar Run, 2.8 mi southeast of Chester, and 8.5 mi northeast of Pomeroy.
DRAINAGE AREA - 156 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Water years 1956, 1962-64 (occasional low-flow measurements), June 1965 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 576.28 ft (NAVD 1988). Prior to Dec 31, 2013 datum was 576.91 ft (NGVD 1929), from levels to USCGS BM U233 (levels by USGS May 1965).
REMARKS -

Records fair for 2014, except for estimated records, which are poor. Oct. 1, 2014 to Jan. 7 , 2015: records fair. Jan. 8, 2015 to Apr. 15, 2015: records poor. Apr. 16, 2015 to Dec. 8, 2015: records fair. Dec. 9, 2015 to Feb. 19, 2016: discharge records poor. Feb. 19, 2016 to Aug. 4, 2016: discharge records good. Aug. 5, 2016 to December 21, 2016: discharge records poor. Dec. 21, 2016 to Aug. 7, 2017: discharge records rated fair, except for estimated records which are poor.  For the period Aug. 8, 2017 to Oct. 12, 2017 discharge records rated good.  Oct. 13, 2017 to Nov. 28, 2017: discharge records rated fair.  Nov. 29, 2017 to Nov. 16, 2018: discharge records rated good, except estimated records which are poor.  Water-quality and sediment data formerly collected at this site.
