LOCATION - Lat 37°34'01", long 82°27'29" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Pike County, KY, Hydrologic Unit 05070203, on downstream side of bridge on Zebulon Hwy, 200 ft west of intersection with KY-194, 1.2 miles west of Meta.
DRAINAGE AREA - 56.3 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY -

WSP 1705: Drainage area. WRD KY-76-1: WRD KY-87-1: 1986.

Datum of gage previously reported as 715.66 ft above NGVD of 1929, and 714.91 ft above NAVD of 1988.  These datums were revised on Nov 28, 2022.

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - April 1941 to September 1993, October 1994 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder with telemetry.  Datum is 714.52 feet above NAVD of 1988 and 715.19 ft above NGVD of 1929.  Prior to October 1, 1964, water-stage recorder at site 1,200 feet upstream at datum 1.52 feet higher. October 1, 1964 to December 21, 1965, nonrecording gage at same site and datum. Gage was relocated on May 27, 2015 to the bridge slightly downstream of previous retaining same gage datum.
COOPERATION - Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Huntington District and National Stream Information Program.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood of 1939 reached a stage of 15.6 feet, from floodmark, present datum, at site 600 feet upstream, discharge, 4,500 ft³/s.
