LOCATION - Lat 40°25'10", long 83°11'50" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Delaware County, OH, Hydrologic Unit 05060001, on right bank at downstream side of Hoskins Bridge, 1.5 mi upstream from Ottawa Creek, 2 mi south of Prospect, Ohio, and 2.5 mi downstream from Patton Run.
DRAINAGE AREA - 567 mi².

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - July 1925 to October 1932, October 1939 to current year. Published as AT PROSPECT from 1925-32. Gage-height records collected in this vicinity since 1915 are contained in reports of National Weather Service.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 886.06 ft (NAVD 1988). July 24, 1925 to Oct. 31, 1932, non-recording gage at site 2.5 mi upstream at datum 891.70 ft (1912 adjustment). Oct. 16 to Dec. 5, 1939, non-recording gage at present site and datum 886.90 ft (1912 adjustment). Dec. 6, 1939 to Oct. 1, 2010, water-stage recorder at same site and datum.
REMARKS -

Discharge records good for the 2014 water year except for estimated records, which are poor. Oct. 1, 2014 to Nov. 2, 2015: discharge records good except for estimated records, which are poor. Nov. 3, 2015 to Nov. 15, 2016: discharge records good except for daily estimated records, which are poor. Nov. 16, 2016 to Jan. 17, 2017: discharge records good except for estimated discharge records, which are poor. Jan. 18, 2017 to Oct. 30, 2017: discharge records good. Oct. 31, 2017 to Dec. 27, 2017: discharge records good except for daily estimated records, which are poor. Dec. 28, 2017 to Apr. 4, 2018: discharge records good except for daily estimated records, which are poor. Apr. 5, 2018 to June 4, 2018: discharge records good. June 5, 2018 to Dec. 11, 2018: discharge records good.

Beginning July 2013, flow diverted from river upstream from station into John R. Doutt Upground Reservoir. Flow is returned from reservoir to river upstream from station for low-flow augmentation.
