  • Water-Year Summary reports summarize a year of hydrologic data in a printer-friendly format.
  • For water years 2014 onward, choose a water year and parameter and an on-demand Water-Year Summary report will be generated.
  • For water years 2006 through 2013, choose a water year and an Annual Water Data Report will be provided.
  • For water years 2005 and earlier, Annual Water Data Reports may be available in digital format.
  • Not all sites have reports available for every water year.

USGS Water-Year Summary 2024
03275500 EAST FORK WHITEWATER RIVER AT RICHMOND, IN
LOCATION - Lat 39°48'24", long 84°54'26" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Wayne County, IN, Hydrologic Unit 05080003,  0.4 mile upstream of sewage disposal plant for the City of Richmond, 2 miles upstream from Short Creek, on upstream side of bridge.
DRAINAGE AREA - 121 mi². Derived from "Drainage Areas of Indiana Streams" publication. (Hoggatt 1975).
REVISIONS HISTORY - Revisions were made to the specific conductance record from Oct. 20, 2017 to Mar. 21, 2021.  During a routine data review, an unusual data pattern of erratic conductance readings typically occurring during events exceeding 2,200 cfs was discovered.  These unusual data periods were sometimes removed and other times retained in the record.  In 2023 it was determined that the erratic readings were a result of high flow causing bubbles and debris to become trapped in the sonde and wiper window of the SC sensor.  All events were reviewed and any erratic data was removed and the period flagged as revised.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - July 1949 to September 1978 and October 2017 to current year
GAGE - Water stage recorder.  Datum of gage is 853.51 feet above the North American Vertical Datum of 1988.
REMARKS - Some regulation at low flow due to operation of Richmond Power and Light Company, upstream. Diversion-None known.
