LOCATION - Lat 36°53'48", long 81°44'47" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Smyth County, VA, Hydrologic Unit 06010101, on right bank 0.5 mi upstream from Cedar Branch bridge, 1.5 mi northeast of Saltville, 7.8 mi downstream from Laurel Creek, and at mile 85.0.
DRAINAGE AREA - 221 mi².

GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 1,703.1 ft NAVD88. June 11, 1907, to Nov. 12, 1908, nonrecording gage on highway bridge 2.1 mi downstream, at different datum. Nov. 2, 1920, to May 23, 1934, nonrecording gage on highway bridge 0.5 mi downstream, at datum of 1,695.79 ft NGVD of 1929.
