LOCATION - Lat 42°14'40", long 85°36'52" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NE 1/4 sec.05, T.3 S., R.11 W., Kalamazoo County, MI, Hydrologic Unit 04050003, on right bank 30 ft upstream from culvert on Oakland Drive, 2.5 mi upstream from mouth, and 3.7 mi southwest of main business district of Kalamazoo.
DRAINAGE AREA - 18.7 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - September 1959 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder, crest-stage gage, and V-notch sharp-crested weir. Datum of gage is 857.66 ft above NAVD 88, converted on July 9, 2020 from NGVD 29 (levels by Michigan Department of Natural Resources).
REMARKS - At times, flow is affected by ground-water withdrawals.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 69 ft³/s, Sept. 15, 2008, gage height, 3.69 ft; maximum gage height, 3.88 ft, Oct. 15, 2017; minimum discharge, 0.23 ft³/s, Sept. 21, 2003.
