LOCATION - Lat 42°49'41", long 84°45'34" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NE 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.15, T.5 N., R.4 W., Clinton County, MI, Hydrologic Unit 04050004, on right bank at downstream side of bridge on Tallman Road, 1.9 mi northeast of Eagle, and 11 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 280 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1387: 1946-47.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - August 1944 to September 1996, October 2001 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage.  Datum of gage is 750.01 ft above NAVD 88. Prior to June 2, 1962, nonrecording gage and June 3, 1962 to Sept. 30, 1996, water-stage recorder at site 1.0 mi downstream at different datum (station 04114500).
REMARKS - Small intermittent diversion at times into Lake Geneva when discharge is above 50 ft³/s.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 2,860 ft³/s, Apr. 5, 1947, gage height, 7.70 ft, from rating curve extended above 1,900 ft³/s, from graph based on gage readings, site and datum then in use; maximum gage height, 9.90 ft, Mar. 7, 1956, from floodmark, backwater from ice, site and datum then in use; minimum discharge, 10 ft³/s, July 28, 1965.
