LOCATION - Lat 44°41'35", long 84°50'50" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SW 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.31, T.27 N., R.4 W., Crawford County, MI, Hydrologic Unit 04060103, on right bank 85 ft upstream from bridge on U.S. Highway 72, 7.5 mi west of Grayling.
DRAINAGE AREA - 123 mi².  
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1942 to December 31, 1973, October 2020 to September 2023 (discontinued). Crest-stage partial record station 1973 to1982. Monthly discharge only for October 1942, published in WSP 1307. 
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 1,120.374 ft above NAVD88.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 388 ft³/s, Apr. 18, 1960, gage height, 1.88 ft; maximum gage height, 2.43 ft, Feb. 7, 1967, backwater from ice; minimum discharge, 114 ft³/s, Jan. 27, 1971, result of freezeup.
